Do you have a dog, and have questions about how to keep your dog happy? Is your new puppy having trouble settling in? Are you looking for a new puppy and aren't sure where to look?

I would love to help you with any of these issues, and more. My husband and I have bred many puppies over the last twenty years, and every puppy born at our home is important to us. Whether the puppy became a show dog or a much loved pet, it always remained 'our' puppy to some extent. We always cared about the wellbeing of that puppy.

I would love to be there for you too, if you have a new dog or pup, or if you're thinking of getting one, I would love to help you make the right choices for yourself, your family and for your puppy or dog.

Spring is on the Way!

Even though it's still winter, and cold, I can sense that spring is on its way. Winter used to be my most hated season, but I'm liking it more that I used to, now, for health reasons. I'm enjoying the way winter keeps me from overheating!

I'm glad that spring is on the way though, the birds are chirping more, and they all seem more chipper with it! I love those chipper chirpers! And I know the bulbs are getting ready to show off what they've been working on underground. We have freesias and dutch iris, and I hope we get a big display when the time is right.

We didn't prune our rose bushes over winter, and I wish we had. One of the roses has a lovely rich purple/red bloom on it now, and I guess it would be a shame to prune it all away. Our family are certainly not knowledgeable rose gardeners. I just know roses are meant to be pruned in winter, for the best results. I'm a bit shaky about the ins and outs of it all though.

If anyone out there can fill me in on the rose pruning details, I'd love to read what you have to tell me!
